Birding at Brian Booth State Park
The Yaquina Birders and Naturalists invite you to join them on a Guided Naturalist Walk at Brian Booth State Park (Parking Lot, US Hwy 101, Seal Rock) on Saturday September 22, from 8a.m.-10a.m.
Shorebirds, waterbirds and songbirds, this Naturalist Walk has them all. Brian Booth State Park includes Ona Beach State Park and Beaver Creek State Natural Area and habitat that ranges from sandy shores to freshwater marsh to deciduous woodlands. Birders Steve and Rachel Holzman will lead this field trip in search of migrants that may include western sandpiper, sanderling, whimbrel, western tanager and bullock's oriole.
The trip will begin at Ona Beach State Park and end at Beaver Creek and it is a free event open to all who enjoy learning more about the birds of this area. Dress for variable weather and meet at 8a.m. in the Ona Beach State Park parking lot on the west side of U.S. highway 101. For more information call 541-961-1307.
