Black Oystercatcher Survey Training

Black Oystercatchers, with their vivid orange bills and unmistakable clacking cry, are a familiar and well-loved denizen of our rocky intertidal areas. They are also a species of conservation concern due to the bird’s small population size and vulnerability to a variety of impacts. Volunteers can help with the conservation of this species by monitoring the birds to add to knowledge about their numbers and nesting success.

If you would like to consider getting involved, attend an online training this year on Thursday, April 29, 6:30-8 p.m.
