The Portland Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation's December Chapter Meeting will focus on clean energy. The meeting with take place on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cosube Surf Shop in Portland (111 NE MLK Jr Blvd).
How does a wind turbine work? How many wind turbines are installed in the US? How can individuals support renewable energy in our communities? Learn all about wind energy from an engineer from Vestas at this chapter meeting, which is free and open to the public.
The guest speaker will be one of Surfrider's Portland volunteers, Laura Richardson. She will focus on discussing clean energy - specifically wind energy.
