The Central Coast Universal Unitarian Fellowship is sponsoring a climate change talk on Sunday Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Newport Visual Arts Center's 2nd story classroom (777 NW Beach Dr, Newport). This event is free and welcome to the public.
Bill Kucha will talk openly (heart and mind) on our possible roles in regards to the current ecological situation we are confronted with today, and what climate change may mean to us as individuals and as communities. Bill will talk about possible positive aspects of climate disruption along with solutions an individual might act on to mitigate its negative impacts. He will present not only practical approaches to dealing with this crisis but delve into the emotional and spiritual implications as well. His presentation will be augmented by showing slides of art work and singing songs he has written that deal with the subject.
Bill is the founder of 350 Oregon Central Coast an environmental group dealing with the health of the atmosphere. More information about the organization can be found at http://350oregoncentralcoast.org
