Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment: Woodburn
In response to advancing global climate change, the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) is offering a series of regional workshops to understand best how climate change is affecting Oregonians' well-being, livelihoods, and cultural identity. State agencies will use this information when they develop or modify state policies, programs, and projects in response to climate change.
The Woodburn workshop will take place on Wednesday, March 15, from 6-9 p.m. at the Chemeketa Woodburn Center (120 E Lincoln St.)
More about the workshops:
"Agendas for each of the 3-hour workshops are similar. Using interactive activities, participants identify what they value within their communities and then explore how changing weather patterns might affect those values. State agencies will use this information when they develop or modify state policy, programs, and projects in response to climate change.
Please register if you plan to attend one or more of the in-person workshops. At least the first 20 people to register and attend the workshop will receive a $50 Amazon gift card in appreciation of you sharing your time and expertise. Indicate on the registration form your desire to receive a gift card. We also will use registration information to plan food, support for non-English speakers, assess the need for childcare, and other accommodations."
If you cannot attend a workshop but would still like to provide input, fill out this survey.
