The North Coast Land Conservancy is sponsoring CoastWalk, a three-days walking tour of north coast landscapes—beaches and sand spits, headlands and saltspray meadows—with all logistics taken care of for participants. Funds from the fees charged for the walk support the North Coast Land Conservancy’s coastal conservation work.

2017 is the 50th anniversary of the Oregon Beach Bill—the landmark legislation that designated Oregon’s beaches public up to the vegetation line. The North Coast Land Conservancy's event involves walking roughly 10 miles a day—50 kilometres for the Beach Bill’s 50th anniversary—on the Oregon Coast Trail, following the footsteps of the mascots Gov. Oswald West and his horse Fred the Freak.

The total cost for the event is $349 - Register here.
