CoastWatch Talk and Training Session

CoastWatch’s new volunteer coordinator, Jesse Jones, is launching a fall series of educational activities and training sessions related to CoastWatch monitoring.  The first of these is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 12, 4 p.m. in the Newport Public Library (35 N.W. Nye St.).  The event is free and open to all—CoastWatchers, prospective CoastWatchers, or anyone else interested in keeping an eye on the shoreline.

Jesse will provide background information on CoastWatch and shoreline monitoring, and introduce the citizen science projects that CoastWatch sponsors.  There will be plenty of time for questions.
