The state of Oregon has a comprehensive strategy for water management, the Integrated Water Resources Strategy. It is designed to help Oregonians understand what water we have available and what we will need, and outline actions required to meet that need.

The strategy is now being updated. As part of this effort, community feedback is sought. The Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) and 13 other state agencies are working with Oregon’s Kitchen Table (OKT), a program at Portland State University, to create events at which citizens can comment on how they want to see Oregon manage its water.

A series of community conversations is being organized around the state. One of these will take place in Seaside on Thursday, May 11, 6-8 p.m. The location has not yet been announced.

To register for this session, or for one of the others around the state, go here.

You can also arrive at one of these community conversations unannounced. However, registering will mean that you will be contacted with information about the location and other matters closer to the event. We will also publicize the location on this website when the information is available.
