The public is invited to sit in on an international conference on coastal web atlases and how they can advance science and make information available. The conference takes place Sept. 27-29 online, through both live and recorded sessions. Oregonians will need to get up early to participate—in our time zone the affair begins at 7 a.m.
The 9th International Coastal Atlas Workshop (ICAN 9) will provide an opportunity to present and discuss recent innovations in atlases and how atlases can contribute to the goals of the UN´s Decade of Ocean Science. It will also investigate synergies with other initiatives such as the OceanInfoHub of the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange.
