The Southcoast Striders invite interested hikers to join them on a hike on the Dellenback Dunes Trail, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16. While the hike is limited to about 15 people, if there is enough demand, start times can be staggered to accommodate more. Registration is required.
The hike is about five miles, out and back across the dunes, with a little time spent on the beach.
Meet at the Dellenback Dunes Trailhead at 10 a.m. The trailhead is just north of Lakeside, roughly ten miles south of Reedsport and 15 north of Coos Bay. Note that there is a $5 day use fee unless you have a recreation pass. It is recommended that you pay the fee online in advance, as there may not be a way to purchase one on site.
