Discussion of Lincoln City’s Future

The Cascade Head Biosphere Reserve Collaborative is hosting a public, in-person discussion of Lincoln City’s future on Saturday, March 26, 2-3:30 p.m., at the Lincoln City Cultural Center (540 N.E. Hwy 101).

The views of 25 community leaders will be shared, the product of a survey done by the Collaborative and the U.S. Forest Service.  The feedback from this “Listening Tour” will be presented at the event, which is free and open to all.  (Masks and proof of vaccination or a recent negative covid test will be required.)  Many of those interviewed will be there in person, including Representative David Gomberg, Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Lucinda Taylor, Dave Price of the Oregon Coast Community College, and Dawn Villaescusa from the Audubon Society of Lincoln City.

Presenters will briefly introduce a range of topics, such as the impacts of climate change, the problems and potential benefits of tourism, access to and protection of natural areas, housing, and community communications.  Each presentation will then be followed by eight minutes of public input.
