Environmental Issues Panel
Central Oregon Coast NOW is hosting a panel discussion on “Collaborating to Overcome Coastal Environmental Challenges” on Tuesday, June 26, 6 p.m. in the McEntee Meeting Room of the Newport Public Library (35 N.W. Nye St.). The event is free and open to all.
Locally based organizations including Surfrider and Lincoln County Community Rights, along with scientific and education groups, will have representatives there to discuss environmental issues that are impacting the coast. The goal is to create a community conversation about how coastal residents can join together to promote the health and sustainability of the coastal region.
Central Oregon Coast NOW Chapter will also conduct a brief business meeting following the discussions. For more information on the organization or the event, see their website, or e-mail centraloregoncoastnow@gmail.com.
