Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Gray Whales

At the next meeting of the American Cetacean Society-Oregon Chapter, the topic will be “Above, Below and Inside Oregon Gray Whales!”  The event takes place Saturday, December 3, 10 a.m., at the Newport Public Library (35 NW Nye).  It is free and open to the public.

Speaker Leigh Torres, Assistant Professor at Oregon State University’s Marine Mammal Institute, will present some of her recent work with Gray Whales along the Oregon Coast. She will describe the most recent research being conducted in our ocean with this highly popular species. Dr. Torres uses some of the latest research tools in her current work.
