The City of Coos Bay holds what is expected to be the final hearing on the Phase 1 update of the Coos Bay Estuary Management Plan (CBEMP) on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 500 Central Ave. in Coos Bay. At this meeting the council will consider adopting the plan, assuming that the cities of Coos Bay and North Bend and Coos County have agreed on a version with amendments to be discussed during a joint work session on Nov. 9. (Note: This meeting was earlier scheduled for Nov. 7. It was delayed when the decision was made to hold the joint session with the other jurisdictions.)

Written comments can be submitted prior to the hearing. They should be delivered by 4 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting. Submit to cschnabel@coosbayor.gov.

It will be possible to attend the meeting remotely, but the Zoom link is not yet available. It will be included here once it is known.

More details will become available after the meeting on Nov. 9. A staff report will be available seven days before the meeting. For additional information on the city's process, contact Chelsea Schnabel, Planning Administrator, (541) 269-1181 x3531, cschnabel@coosbayor.gov.
