First Day Hikes

Oregon State Parks invites you to get out and explore the Oregon Coast on the first day of the year. You can find out about other First Day Hikes in Oregon by going to the Oregon State Parks Event Calendar and putting in the category "First Day Hikes." We've highlighted some hikes below:

Sunset Bay First Day Hike--This hike meets at the Sunset Bay Gazebo and starts at 1 p.m. (which gives you plenty of time to participate in the Polar Bear Plunge at 9 a.m.).  For more information about this hike, and to sign up, go to the event page.

William Tugman State Park will have a hike on the South Trail, starting at 10 a.m..  More details and a sign-up form are on the event page.

Humbug Mountain State Park will be offering a hike on the Fern Trail/Oregon Coast Trail, and Amphitheater Trail.  More details and sign up form at the event page.
