Forum on Protecting Watersheds

The Forest Waters Coalition is offering a “Forest Waters Watch” forum on Tuesday, Aug. 31, beginning at 5 p.m.

This forum will be an opportunity for networking, storytelling, and resource sharing among community members in Oregon who are adversely affected by clearcut logging of state or private forestlands, and who are interested in organizing to protect their watersheds.  Participants are encouraged to share stories and lessons learned, and to ask questions.  The coalition, which includes the North Coast Citizens for Watershed Protection, links Oregon communities adversely affected by industrial forestry practices.
