Guided Walk/CoastWatch Clinic
Volunteer Coordinator Fawn Custer is taking advantage of a minus-1.18-foot tide to offer an opportunity to explore the tidepools at the northern end of the Roads End beach. This guided walk will double as a “CoastWatch Clinic” during which Fawn will provide instruction on CoastWatch monitoring and answer any and all questions about the program.
Meet Fawn at the Roads End wayside (6111 N.E. Logan Rd., Lincoln City) at 3 p.m. The walk and clinic should last about two hours.
If the weather is overly harsh, the event will move indoors (without the tidepool exploration, unfortunately) to the large meeting room in Lincoln City’s Driftwood Library (801) S.W. Hwy 101, #201). Fawn will provide instruction about CoastWatch here, and discuss organisms that might have been found on the beach and in tidepools through a PowerPoint presentation and specimens she will display.
For more information, and to check if the weather is marginal, contact Fawn Custer at (541) 270-0027, fawn@oregonshores.org.
