The Southcoast Striders hiking group is offering two simultaneous hikes at Humbug Mountain, one of the south coast’s most prominent features. The hikes begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Humbug Mountain trailhead, about six miles south of Port Orford beside Hwy 101.
The long hike will go up the mountain. The shorter hike—not much shorter but with little elevation gain—will follow the old coast highway. Each hike is limited to 15 people, unless additional hike leaders step forward to volunteer.
