The Oregon Institute of Marine Biology's Spring 2018 Seminar Series features a talk by Gayle Hansen, from the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Her seminar is entitled, "Marine algae on Japanese tsunami debris: were than an invasion risk?"
Gayle Hansen is a senior researcher based with the Environmental Protection Agency outpost at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport. Hansen, also an Oregon State University Associate Professor, is an expert in Oregon’s marine algae, aka seaweed, and field known as phycology. Incidentally, she has been generous with her time in helping to educate CoastWatchers, and is a CoastWatcher herself (Mile 206).
