Kalmiopsis Audubon’s last bird-watching field trip of the season is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 26. Trip leader Gary Maschmeyer will lead this expedition on the Jim Hunt Loop along the Rogue River. Meet him at 8:45 a.m. at the Gold Beach Visitor Center (94080 Shirley Ln.). The event is free and open to all.
To carpool from Brookings, meet Gary at the Azalea Middle School parking lot at 505 Pacific Ave in Brookings at 8 a.m. Rain cancels the trip. It’s best to RSVP to Gary so he can let you know if there is any change. To RSVP or with any questions, contact him at (541) 254-1641.
