LCDC Considers Climate Policies
The Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) with take up rulemaking with regard to its “Climate-Friendly” and “Equitable Communities” initiatives at its next meeting, taking place online on Thursday, Sept. 24, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The Department of Land Conservation and Development, which LCDC oversees, will request that the commission initiate rulemaking to reduce climate pollution through actions that also improve equitable outcomes. The department will also recommend the structure and interests for a rulemaking advisory committee, and request that the commission delegate authority to the director to appoint specific individuals.
There is no set time for this agenda item, but it comes in the morning of the commission meeting. Earlier, there is also a public comment period, during which members of the public can address the commission on any topic.
