Learn about Sea Urchin Aquaculture
On Saturday, Oct. 21, the Oregon Kelp Alliance (ORKA) and its partners, with support from Oregon Sea Grant, is hosting "An Evening with Urchins." This educational event will occur from 3:30 to 6:30 at Farm & Sea in Bandon (182 1st Street SW).
About the event:
"Please join us on October 21 at the Port of Bandon from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. for an educational event focusing on sea urchins and seaweed. Tours of urchin and dulse aquaculture facilities at the Port of Bandon farm site will run from 3:30 - 4:45 p.m. We recommend a visit to the nearby Nasomah Memorial Garden before joining ORKA and partners at Farm & Sea from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. for educational tables, displays, posters, and tastings.
Space on the farm tours is limited! Secure your spot on one of the three available tours by visiting AnEveningWithUrchinsFarmTours.eventbrite.com or by clicking the tickets link to register for a free ticket. Note: registration for free tickets required for the farm tours only, no tickets required for the tabling & tasting at Farm & Sea.
This event is free and open to everyone. Light refreshments will be provided."
