Lecture on Fire Ecology

The Cape Perpetua Speaker Series is from January-March. Each part of the series is hosted by a special presenter who is well versed on a partiuclar point of interest. For this event, Siuslaw National Forest ecologist Jane Kertis will present on the historic drivers of fire on vegetation (climate, geology, landforms), how humans have affected and influenced fire activity, and discuss future wildfire forecasts for the Coast Range.
