The Forest Interest Group is hosting a meeting featuring Chuck Willer of Coast Range Association. His talk takes place 6:30 p.m. at Clatsop Community College (1651 Lexington Ave. in Astoria) in Room 310 of Towler Hall.
Willer has ben doing investigative research on forest ownership in Oregon, particularly big corporations and their federal tax exempt status, and what it all means for the economy of Oregon and the impact of forestry practices.
After his talk, there will be ample time for questions for Willer followed by a group discuss of how we can accelerate change in Oregon by broadening our activist strategy and joining forces with other similar groups in the state.
