'Let's Go Birding' Hike

Join Kalmiopsis Audubon Society trip leader Gary Maschmeyer for a birding field trip to the Mill Pond east of Gold Beach. This will be a good chance to look for various ducks, including Wood Ducks, plus Common Yellowthroat, Wilson's Snipe, California Quail, and perhaps the Hermit Warbler.

Bring binoculars and your bird book. Meet at the Gold Beach Visitors Center at 8 a.m. Those who want to carpool from Brookings can meet at Azalea Middle School (on Pacific Avenue) at 7:15 a.m.  Rain will cause the trip to be canceled.
