Marine Reserves Partnership Offers Photography Classes

 By way of encouraging Oregonians to put marine reserves in their viewfinders, the Oregon Marine Reserves Partnership has been offering a series of photography classes this summer, led by professional photographer Jason Waicunas of Outdoor Viewfinder. One more opportunity remains, coming up Sept. 19. The classes are being held at coastal locations associated with marine reserves, offering the opportunity to the photograph a wide-range of subject matter, with three themes relating to the Oregon Marine Reserve Photography Contest: People, Landscapes, and Fish and Wildlife. Waicunas will be teach the artistic side of outdoor photography and provide technical information with an emphasis on proper exposure and composition. Photographers at every level of skill are welcome. There are only 10 places available for each class, so be sure to register in advance for the final class, which will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at Oswald West State Park near Cape Falcon.
