The North Bend Planning Commission will consider its recommendation(s) concerning the Coos Bay Estuary Management Plan (CBEMP) update at its Monday, Oct. 16 meeting. The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. in the North Bend City Hall Council Chambers (835 California Ave.). The commission has already held one public hearing on the subject; a decision is expected at the October meeting. The planning commission could recommend to the North Bend City Council that it adopt the draft update as presented, or recommend changes.

The public will have another opportunity to provide comments on the draft plan, either in person at the meeting, or in writing. Written comments must be sent to dpayne@northbendcity.org by 4 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting (Oct. 13). Verbal testimony can be delivered in person or remotely. To testify in person, register before the meeting outside the council chambers or e-mail dpayne@northbendcity.org with a request. If you wish to testify remotely, write to the same address by 1 p.m. the day of the hearing; a Zoom link will be provided.

To attend virtually, tune in on the City of North Bend’s YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@CityofNorthBendOregon.
