The Oregon Institute of Marine Biology's Spring 2018 Seminar Series features a seminar by George Waldbusser, from the College of Earth, Ocean and Atomospheric Sciences at the Oregon State Univeristy. His seminar is entitled, "Simple chemistry, complication biology: Understanding ocean acidification impacts on near-shore fauna."

Dr. George Waldbusser is an Assistant Professor of Ocean Ecology and Biogeochemistry in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. Dr. Waldbusser’s interests broadly span marine ecology and biogeochemistry. He was a key player in documenting ocean acidification impacts in oyster hatcheries in the Pacific Northwest, and continues to work closely with industry on adaptation and mitigation strategies shellfish growers can implement. He received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in New York City, and completed a Ph.D. in Marine and Estuarine Environmental Science from the University of Maryland.

Please park on Boat Basin Road and walk to the OIMB Boathouse. Call (541) 888-2581 or email oimb@uoregon.edu for more information.
