Ocean Policy Advisory Council Meets
Oregon’s Ocean Policy Advisory Council meets on Friday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meeting takes place online. Members of the public can sit in. Register to attend the meeting here.
The meeting agenda includes several items of significance to Oregon Shores members. The primary focus is on finalizing recommendations for amendment of Part Four of the Territorial Sea Plan and review of the rulemaking draft impact statements. This has to do with how Oregon manages its nearshore seabed, such as for permitting the construction of cables and pipelines.
Additional items will include an update from the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on the publication of Draft Wind Energy Areas, and a discussion of funding for OPAC priorities. View the Draft Meeting Agenda.
