The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Portland will host a “Surf and Sand”-themed night on Wednesday, July 27, during which visitors can explore the science of surf, sand, and sunsets. Local ocean-minded environmental organizations will be providing talks, demonstrations, and activities at the museum (1945 S.E. Water Ave.). Local bands, vendors, and food carts will also be featured.
Oregon Shores will be there, offering a table at which visitors can try their hand at a marine debris survey simulation. We will also share opportunities for you to get involved with community-based science through our CoastWatch program.
Tickets are $25 per guest. This event is 21 and over only; IDs and proof of vaccination or negative COVID tests are required for entry. Masks are optional and encouraged.
