Oregon’s Ocean Policy Advisory Committee (OPAC) will hold its next meeting on Friday, Dec. 7, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the Surfsand Resort (148 Gower) in Cannon Beach.  This is a public meeting, open to all.

The meeting will cover a range of topics of interest to anyone concerned about coastal conservation.  These include OPAC’s planning process for rocky shore protections and for uses of the territorial sea.  There will also be a discussion of the state’s effort to oppose all potential oil and gas leasing in federal waters off our shores, and an update on OPAC’s Science and Technical Advisory Committee’s work on marine reserves and other topics.

OPAC will have a working lunch.  Members of the public are free to brownbag.

For more information about OPAC, see the website.  https://www.oregonocean.info/
