Orca Action Month Happy Hour

June is Orca Action Month, and one of the annual festivities in a happy hour get-together and chat.  The get-together part can’t happen this year, but undaunted, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, with the help of Hopworks Urban Brewery, is moving the happy hour online.

From 7-8 p.m. on Friday, June 19, join other orca admirers virtually to hoist a few wherever you are and listen to talks by whale expert Colleen Weiler, a fellow with Whale and Dolphin Conservation, and Christian Ettinger, founder of Hopworks.  Colleen and Christian will talk about how water should be honored and respected as the source of beer (and life), what it means to be “Salmon-Safe” for buildings, farms, and beers, and how Christian shakes things up on the Salmon-Safe Board and was inspired by one of his Board elders to take on a new project – removing the Snake River dams.
