Astoria’s Fort George Brewery (1483 Duane St.) will be the scene of a panel discussion on “Carbon, Water, & Community: How Strong Forest Laws Are Good for Business.”  The event takes place on Thursday, Jan. 31, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Lovell Showroom.

The Oregon Brewshed Alliance and Oregon Wild are sponsoring the event, along with local partners.  Speakers form the sponsoring organizations will discuss the intersection of forests, climate change, and drinking water, and how protecting forests benefits communities.  More details on speakers and local sponsors will be known closer to the date.

Doors to the Lovell Showroom open at 6 p.m. Arriving early is advised, as seating is limited. Food and beverages are available through the Taproom; all ages are welcome to this free public event.
