About the presentation:
"Trying to communicate climate change, but people just don't seem to respond to your facts and science? As important as knowing climate science, social science provides evidence-based practices that allow us to communicate climate science more effectively. Please join us on Monday, August 21st from 4:00pm-5:00pm PT/7:00pm-8:00pm ET to be introduced to the work of the National Network for Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation (NNOCCI), a collective of over 800 climate communicators. In this free webinar, learn how specific values and metaphors make your audience more receptive to climate change messaging and join a community of communicators changing the national discourse to be more positive, civic-minded, and solutions-focused.
With more than a decade of success, NNOCCI is widely recognized as the United States' leading climate change interpretation training program. NNOCCI has partnered on dozens of peer-reviewed publications that describe its unique combination of elements for training and highlighting the network's outcomes. The Marine Mammal Center currently serves as the fiscal sponsor for NNOCCI's work.
