Presentation on the State of Eelgrass
On Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m., Tony D‘Andrea from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's (ODFW) Shellfish Team will be in Tillamook to discuss Eelgrass in Tillamook County watersheds. This presentation will take place at the Oregon Department of Forestry (5005 3rd Street in Tillamook) and is free and open to all.

"Topics of Tony’s presentation will include the life cycle of Eelgrass, common misconceptions, research methods, current activity and recent findings regarding the status of our Eelgrass beds. This presentation will be followed by a brief 15min Q&A where you can ask questions and learn more about the impacts of Eelgrass in our Bays.
It is important to note that this is an Educational presentation and the purpose of this is to learn more about Eelgrass as a species and its current status in our Bays.
All policy questions and opinions regarding management change should be directed through email to odfw.commission@odfw.oregon.gov or directed at the ODFW Commission at the next meeting on March 17th where there is a forum for public comment and the commissioners can then discuss those regulatory changes.
