The Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Audubon Council present a “Science on Tap” lecture, “The Ecology of Seabirds & Forage Fish in Oregon's Estuaries and Nearshore Waters,” by Wayne Hoffman, policy Director of the MidCoast Watersheds Council, on Saturday, April 22, at 3 p.m.  It takes place at Rogue Ale’s South Beach waterfront location, Brewer’s on the Bay, at 2320 OSU Drive in Newport, in the downstairs Board Room. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and early arrival is recommended. Food and beverage will be available for purchase from the regular menu. 

Wayne Hoffman, an ornithologist and photographer as well as MidCoast Watersheds Council staffer, will explore and demonstrate the diversity of avian and marine species that key into the run of herring and other forage fish.
