The Hatfield Marine Science Center’s research seminar continues with a talk on the Whales of Guerrero. It takes place on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 3:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building at HMSC (2030 S.E. Marine Science Dr. in Newport).

This is a hybrid event; use this link to join via Zoom.

The speaker is Katherina Audley, founder of Whales of Guerrero.

About the talk:

"Katherina Audley founded the Whales of Guerrero in 2013 with the intention of solving a whale migration mystery and boosting responsible ecotourism opportunities for a small village in SW Pacific Mexico. Little did she know that the work her organization would do would transform an entire region’s relationship with ocean health and marine wildlife for the better. Katherina will share her favorite mistakes and lessons she learned along the way during this 45 minute presentation followed by ample time for questions and discussion."
