The “World of Haystack Rock” speaker series will take a look at the harvesting taking place just offshore with a talk on “Seeking Balance through Sustainable Fishing” on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. The virtual presentation is free and open to all.
Speakers will be Duncan Berry and Kipp Baratoff, co-founders of Fishpeople, a sustainable fishing enterprise that sells seafood direct from fishermen to consumers. Berry is also a founder of the Westwind Stewardship Group and of the local organization that works to protect the Cascade Head Biosphere Reserve.
