The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is sponsoring a talk on invasive plants of the Oregon coast on Saturday, June 30, 7-8 p.m. at the Honeyman State Park campground theatre. The park is about three miles south of Florence. The event is free and open to the public.
Invasive plants including European beachgrass, gorse, and Scotch broom have done much to shape the Oregon coast, and many aquatic invaders threaten coastal lakes and estuaries. This presentation will cover these species and more, and examine the actions we could take to resist such invasions.
