Tillamook Master Recycler Training
Volunteers are sought for Tillamook County’s Master Recycler Team. A training session has been organized for this fall. Actually, three sessions: Thursday, Oct. 4, 1-5 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The sessions take place at Tillamook Bay Community College (4301 3rd St.) in Tillamook.
Those who are able to put in the time for this intensive training will be able to call themselves Master Recyclers.
The training is free, but participants are expected to devote at least 30 hours of service to the community, putting their knowledge to work.
The goal of the Master Recycler Team is “to educate our community on the environmental impacts of our daily decisions and to encourage people to rethink, reduce, repair, repurpose, and then recycle.”
