The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) is kicking of a year-long strategic planning process with a series of “listening sessions” around the state.  These give citizens concerned about watershed management, watershed councils and the restoration efforts supported by OWEB a chance to voice their concerns and ideas.

For those who can’t attend any of the sessions in person, a statewide “virtual listening session.”

You can join the audio via your computer's mic and speakers and see OWEB on video from your computer using this link: https://zoom.us/j/2911448885. Or you can join the audio portion via telephone using this number below:  Dial: +1 646 558 8656 (US Toll); Meeting ID: 291 144 8885.

During the listening sessions, you will be asked to help the board identify strategies, values, beliefs, and assumptions that inform its work. You will also be asked for your input on actions OWEB might take, with an eye toward innovative approaches the board should consider in their next plan, and to help identify how OWEB’s investments can help address those issues.

For more background and a listing of the locations of the listening sessions around the state, go to OWEB’s bulletin.

You can also contact OWEB directly for more information: (503) 986-0178, darika.barnes@oregon.gov
