Virtual Presentation on Land Management

The Friends of Haystack Rock Lecture Series will feature a presentation on conservation land management on Wednesday, May 13, 7 p.m. The event is free and open to all.  It was originally scheduled for the Cannon Beach Library, but due to coronavirus restrictions, has now been moved online.  Information on how to access the online presentation has not yet been circulated.

The speaker will be Katie Voelke, director of the North Coast Land Conservancy (NCLC), and her topic will be “A Rainforest Reserve.”  She will discuss the NCLC’s strategy for acquiring and managing land to create a contiguous conservation from top of coastal mountain watersheds to the shore and the offshore marine reserve.
