We don’t usually list Washington-oriented events here, but habitat connectivity is as important in Oregon as it is in Washington, and the issues are highly similar.  Oregonians (and our many members who are Washington residents) might be interested in a webinar on “Southwest Washington Habitat Connectivity: From Science to Implementation.”  The webinar takes place on Wednesday, July 13, at 1 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Cascades to Coast Landscape Collaborative.  It will deal with wildlife habitat connectivity, modeling, synthesis, and use cases from the Washington Habitat Connectivity Working Group and its Southwest Washington Initiative. Keynote speaker is Gary Tabor, president of the Center for Large Landscape Conservation. The webinar will feature a panel discussion among resource managers, tribal representatives, non-profit groups and landowners about applying connectivity information to management decisions. To register, go here.
