Webinar on Jordan Cove
As much conservation work shifts online during the coronavirus crisis, here’s a chance to learn more about the battle against the proposed Jordan Cove LNG terminal. The colorfully named Great Old Broads, Cascade Volcanoes Chapter, is hosting a webinar on the issue Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m.:
The event is titled “Rivers, Forests, Health, and Climate: Why We Should Say No to Jordan Cove.” Speakers include Francis Eatherington of Cascadia Wildlands, Pam Ordway, a potentially impacted landowner, and Damon Motz-Storey, Healthy Climate Program Director, Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility.
Anu Sawkar, the Crag Law Center attorney we work with on Jordan Cove issues through our Coastal Law Project, will be on hand to answer questions on the legal aspects of the issue.
