Webinar on Regenerative Agriculture

Shoreline Education for Awareness looks inland for the subject of the next webinar in their series, as they host a talk by Ann Schmierer on “Regenerative Agriculture: Growing Soil for a Healthy Planet.  This online presentation takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Schmierer has been the executive director of the Wild Rivers Land Trust the past four years.  She brings a science and engineering background to conservation work, and advocates for natural solutions to climate change through conservation of land, water, and agricultural lands.  This webinar will explore how regenerative farming and grazing practices can reverse climate change by rebuilding soil to capture carbon, retain water and increase soil biodiversity. Examples of regenerative agriculture from Coos and Curry Counties will be given.
