Learn about the Elakha Alliance, an organization working to explore the possibility of restoring sea otters to Oregon’s coastal ecosystem, through an introductory webinar, “The Plight of Oregon’s Kelp Ecosystem, Sea Otters, and Our Plan.”  The event takes place online on Thursday, Dec. 17, 7 p.m.

The discussion will be led by Bob Bailey, board president of the Alliance, and Director of Outreach John Goodell.  (Oregon Shores was a founding member of the Elakha Alliance.)  They will discuss the origins of the Elakha Alliance, conservation issues surrounding the kelp ecosystem, and why sea otter reintroduction may be an important conservation tool.
