The Oregon chapter of the American Cetacean Society (ACS) offers a free public talk, “Going in for the Krill: Developing Prey-Informed Ecosystem Models to Mitigate Whale Entanglement Risk in Oregon.”  It takes place on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m.

Rachel Kaplan, Ph.D. student and ACS Oregon grant recipient will be presenting her work using measurement of an important prey, krill, to provide information on the distributions of blue and humpback whales in Oregon waters.
