In the pandemic era, the Oregon Global Warming Commission continues to meet virtually.  The next public meeting will be held online from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, April 16.

At this meeting, the Commission will hear presentations from invited panels to inform its work on establishing a “natural and working lands” goal.  The panels will address such questions as whether the goal should be emissions-based or activity-based, how detailed it should be, what programs and policies should be prioritized, and what the consequences of failing to meet the goal should be.

For additional meeting information, including instructions on how the public can listen in, see the Commission’s website.

Members of the public can submit written comments to the Commission at Oregon.GWC@oregon.gov.

For more information, contact Catherine Macdonald, (503) 475-6782.
