The public was invited by the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development to participate in two workshops concerning wind energy planning. The possibility of leasing federal offshore lands for wind energy development is under consideration. These workshops are for the purpose of sharing data collected by the Oregon Offshore Wind Mapping Tool and other data that has been gathered as part of this process.
The first workshop took place Aug. 4. The second, taking place on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon, concerns fisheries impacts.
Advance registration is required. Upon registering, a confirmation email will be sent with the webinar link and audio line for the virtual meeting. Meeting materials and registration information are available at www.boem.gov/Oregon.
