Oregon State University is vetting candidates for the position of assistant professor of Ocean Ecology in the Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences department, and in the process giving the public a peek at emerging scientists. Candidates demonstrate their abilities by delivering seminars on their research, and these are online and open to the public. On Monday Aug. 30, 9 a.m., one such candidate, Danielle Haulsee, will provide a seminar on “Dynamic Ocean management: Using Technology to Capture the Complexities of Spatial Ecology for Marine Conservation and Management.”
Dr. Haulsee is a post-doctoral fellow at Stanford University’s Hopkins Marine Station, currently leading a research project on Costa Rican billfish. Her PhD in Oceanography is from the University of Delaware.
